Usually, yes. First-time basement development, structural changes, or new window and door openings need a building permit from the City of Calgary. Minor cosmetic updates to an already developed basement typically do not. When a permit is needed, we pull it, and our licensed trade partners pull their own electrical and plumbing permits.

Every project is unique, but a full kitchen gut and remodel typically takes 6-8 weeks once all materials and custom cabinetry have arrived. We don't start demolition until we are ready to build.

Depending on the scope of the project, yes. We set up clean zones, keep dust contained, and work around your household. However, for massive main-floor guts or structural work, we may recommend temporary relocation.
